I originally trained with RED to become a fully qualified Government Approved Driving Instructor, before opening my own Driving School in Clackmannanshire and Stirling.  I cover both Stirling and Grangemouth Test Centres. 

I understand the demands of learning to drive under the new testing system, as I have had to complete the same theory and hazard perception training as you, to pass my Advanced Driving Test, C Licence, C+E  Licence and Forklift Licence. 

I have lived in Menstrie since 2012, after living abroad whilst serving for 24 years in the Military as an engineer. I have also worked in the bus, tram and rail industries as an engineer and a trainer.  I have 3 children, all adults now, who I have taught to drive.

My car is a new 2023 Vauxhall Corsa Design, 1.2 Petrol, with 5 speed manual gearbox.  The car has all the usual safety features such as ABS, ESP  & Traction Control however, it also has some excellent additional safety features such as Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic Brakeforce Distribution (EBD), Hill Hold (2 secs), Stop/Start System and Automatic Emergency Braking with pedestrian detection.

In addition to all the above features, during the Winter months, my Corsa is fitted with Dunlop Winter Tyres. These tyres increase performance & safety in the cold, wet and sometimes snowy Scottish climate.
